A nice boxwood tailors rule with all brass bound fittings, measures up to 36†it is 2 1/2†wide by 1/2†at widest thickness that tapers to a 1/4†on other edge, hard to photo something this long but a nice piece that would have been the main measuring tool on a tailors cutting table.
