A fantastic wall mounted wooden first aid box dating 1930s, possibly pint box with a red shield and cross on front pull down lid, above the shield reads “FIRST AID CASE” on bottom corner reads “supplied by AYRTON SAUNDERS & Co Ltd LIVERPOOL” both clasps that keep the lid closed are working and original as are the rear hanging ear plates. Inside the box are 5 compartments for the medicines, in top compartment is a 48 page first aid booklet, on rear of lid is leaflet of what the contents should be in the box and also a first aid leaflet dated September 1930. The box is dovetail construction and measures 10” wide by 8” tall by 5” deep. Has some paint splashes as was probably decorated around over the years. A great vintage box.
