George Davis 5/8” Grecian Ogee with Bevel 1821-1839 (6999)

A beautiful looking complex moulding plane by the plane maker George Davis who was working out of Birmingham, the stamp dates this plane from 1821-1839 see British Planemakers from 1700 3rd edition by Jane and Mark Rees. The plane has seen very little use with hardly even a scratch to the body stock, the spring lines on front nose of plane are crisp and clear, has a couple of ex owners names neatly stamped into nose and heel of the plane, good boxwood removable slip in the sole, iron is near a full length the business end is clean and ready for use, the iron handle showing some rust that would clean up much better.

Price is inclusive of postage to mainland U.K.
