An interesting plane that looks to have been adapted a few times during its life, the angle of the iron is more like that of a mitre plane. The plane is very heavy and works as it’s set up. The bronze coloured lever cap is very nicely made with the turned screw although the lever cap has been a fixed in other positions at sometime. The sole is a thick 5/16” thick and tenoned at the mouth. Good sharp WARD iron. Put some steel dowels in the surplus side holes and will be a great unusual plane.
