A nice dovetailed steel shoulder plane, all original made by NORRIS. This was the widest model of 1.1/2” in width without being a special made plane. It is 8” in length and stamped number 8 on the rear above the lovely strike screw and also on wedge side and back of the full length iron. Some minor staining to the steel and I would say that the ex owner at sometime has refreshed the woodwork? NORRIS LONDON stapmped on front nose and the wording “STEEL” on the metalwork, quite a rare size plane.
