A nice looking French clog- makers right side axe, it is stamped twice “GUIRAUD” this is thought to be the region of the blacksmith who made the axe in Saint Guiraud Southern France. It’s nice clean steel with single bevel cutting edge, the handle has lots of beetle holes that have been treated the head is loose and will require new wedge fitting to enable the axe to be used. A great looker.
