These planes very seldom come up for sale, the stamp on the front nose of the plane dates the plane between 1882-1889. The rosewood infill is stunning, the iron made by WARD, and stamped HOLLAND LONDON is full length. An ex owner probably the first ever owner has neatly stamped his name on each side towards the front and on the heel of the plane, original strike button in place on the heel. This really is a beautiful early plane that has belonged to a family who tell me it has only been on display on a shelf.
