Whopping A. MATHIESON 22.1/2” Infill Jointing plane. (35397)

Has been in use till recently by a local woodworker to me. The dovetailed steel sole measures 22.1/2” in length by 2.7/8” width, some marks to the steel in fitting to a working plane, it has been stuffed with rosewood infills. Has ex owners name stamped on the infill, and on front bun the makers stamp of A. MATHIESON & Son Glasgow with his star and crescent logo.   It’s all genuine with the iron and infill behind where iron sits being stamped #49. The iron and cap iron both Mathieson and 2.1/2” in width. The rosewood is in great condition, a lovely and very scarce plane to find.
