A great and all original infill jointer plane, the sole is dovetailed to the body and measures 14 1/2” in length by 2 7/8” width. The iron is original by Mathieson as is the back iron, iron width is 2 1/2” and has a sharp edge but has a small Nick to it. The steel is clean with very fine pitting through age nothing ugly or deep, discolouration mark on rear end to one side. Rosewood infills are free from and cracks or repairs, the front but is lovely and has a faint Mathieson stamp with star and crescent logo, the brass lever also stamped with the Mathieson trademark. Plane weighs a hefty 3.5 KGs. A super all original plane ready for work.
