S. COLD Vintage “V” Cutting Tool. (40820)

I’m really in-sure of it purpose although the chap I bought this from was a bookbinder so could be for cutting leather? The “V” edge is very sharply honed and measures 3.1/4” across at the top of the “V” and is 2.7/8” in height, the length of this tool measures 6.3/4” stamped by maker and the bolster end is in good condition with no mushrooming to the head.
