Rare I.WILSON Sheffield Pad Saw Handle. (40849)

We have never had one before, the company I.WILSON working out of Sycamore Street in Sheffield in mid to late 1800s the tool handle is also stamped “PEPPERCORN & DIAMOND BRAND” the handle has rosewood scales with one tiny nick by one of the front pinned rivets. The company was known for cutlery items so could of been a tool for butchery? It’s a fantastic tool. The handle measures 7” including the brass hook on end, the steel nut moves to release and tighten a blade.
