D. KIMBERLEY & SON Patent Plough Plane. (38285)

A scarce triple arm handled plough plane made by “KIMBERLEY & Son and this name is stamped on front nose of plane and twice on the steel skate. Plane is in really good condition with the black paintwork being refreshed to a high standard, the depth stop and the brass depth stop adjusting nut are both stamped Patent No. 1994. With nose of the plane stamped Patent No. 2848. The bottom inner edge of the adjustable fence has a hairline split it’s not broken just there and not an issue. There are 8 cutting irons that came with the plane sizes are those of 1-8 but not marked that you can see, the steel of irons being very pitted although the cutting edges are good and sharp. A plane that now seems to be mainly in collectors hands, I have waxed the woodwork and this is a great plane that has been oiled on the moving parts, ready to put into use.
