A mercury filled glass thermometer, marked on the wooden rule is the makers name of MARTINDALE NEW CAVENDISH St LONDON, along with temperature scales from 20 up to 210. The mercury ball is protected by a brass cage. Martindale was a pharmaceutical manufacturer working from 1873- 1979. the thermometer is housed in a nice cardboard cylinder.
