A dovetailed parallel sided infill plane by Spiers Ayr, some minor rust spots, no breaks or repairs to handle or front bun, the reinforcing plate on top of handle has been fitted as a precaution as these open handles where prone to breakages, it’s nicely done and I would leave this on as would stop the handle from future breaks, the iron is by SORBY. The lever cap has a rich dark colouring with the makers mark stamp. A lovely plane.
