French Wooden Block Plane. (41017)

An unusual block plane, measuring 7” in length and 2” in width. Front nose stamped number #34 and an X. Along with ACIER Fondu. The 1.3/8” width iron has the markings of A IER FONDU ANGLAIS. MUTZIG- FRAMONT GARANTI. this is a little village in France. The length of the iron being 7.1/4” long. The previous owner whom was a luthier has inserted an ebony insert to front of the planes mouth, the iron sits nice and tight to front of the mouth.
