Early Joseph Haywood & Co quill sharpening knife. (42860)

Joseph Haywood was a 19th century cutler with this knife dating to C1880. The scales are Ivorians and the knife closed up measures 4” in length. The single blade for sharpening quills measures 1.11/16” in length and has the makers stamp, some rusting to knock of the blade. Springs into the opening position but slack on the closing. A rare knife maker.
