Rare Rack Adjustment Oval Mortice Gauge. (39761)

I don’t see any visible makers marks, these are rare gauges to find, full brass stem with the rack notches.the head is rosewood and adjusts by the pinion screw on the face plate on the head, this screw has some wear but is working, the pins are worn with one lower than the other, otherwise a very nice working gauge, the stem end screw sets the pins to required width of the Mortice.
