Rare D. LYON. London Brass adjustable vial level. (42683)

An early level dating to C1855. Fine adjustable nuts either end of the vial, bubble is working and is very sensitive when adjusting the nuts, the vial has a protection tube that rotates to protect the bubble, this has a fine crack in the tube hard to see but it’s there. The base stamped “A. LYON. LONDON” and on underneath of the base bottom is a shield that has a crown logo and the initials DL. Full length measuring 5.1/2” the base bottom width measures 3/4”. A gem for collectors of levels in full working clean order with the patina brass colouring to the brass.
